## The problem

Agents are capable. They don’t know your business.

## Anatomy of the ledger

Four layers, one ledger.

- **Policies** (`policy.md`): What the agent may do, must ask approval for, and never does. Written as rules, auditable.
- **Skills** (`skills.yaml`): The jobs the agent takes on: trigger, systems used, authority limit and the policies around it.
- **Connection maps** (`connections.yaml`): Which system is open to the agent, with what authority (read / draft write) and by which route (MCP, API, file).
- **Semantic layers** (`semantic.yaml`): Your company’s dictionary: terms, definitions, metrics and formulas. The agent reads the same word the same way.

## Output

Plain text and YAML: version-controlled, readable by people and agents. Compatible with Agentic Organization’s company.md / policy.md layout and usable by tools that read AGENTS.md.

### Which AI model does it work with?
The ledger is model-agnostic: plain text and YAML. Whatever agent or model you use can read it as context.

### Is Agentic Organization required?
No. It is the most natural fit, but the ledger is valuable on its own.

### Is the draft enough?
